Since Jennifer's not dating anyone at the moment, she's planning on spending v-day with a friend who is "single" too. And go to the Valentine's Day movie together.
That aside, when I told her Gary proposed to me 23 years ago Sunday, she thought that was cheesy and unimaginative.
I told her it was nice.
Now if he would just bring home some flower besides carnations from Safeway.
This blog will cover the collision of two cultures - parents and teen children. They don't understand us, and view us as spoilers or walking ATMs (adults with teen malcontents?) We are left wondering what happened to our cute cuddly kids of a few years back, and when they may return. If ever.

Valentines Day, Cards and Some Cruelty
V-day was pretty typical for J, lots of candy swapped with girlfriends. I did manage to talk her out of sending a fake valentine to this one boy...as a joke.
I explained to her that everyone would laughing except this kid, and after some thought she decided to call it off.
Meanwhile, her friends were sending V-day texts back and forth like this:
Cost of limo: $100
Cost of dinner and drinks $200
Cost of hotel room: $250
Look on his face when you tell him you're having your period: Priceless.
I don't even want to ask.
