Other colleges start to favor the middle class

I notice that Dartmouth has also decided to give the middle class a break, following Harvard and Yale.

The problem I have with these programs -- and I'm hugely in favor of them -- is that there is no differential for geography. A family with an income of $75,000 in Southern Idaho or the middle of Iowa is probably a lot better off than a family with an income of $100,000 living in San Francisco or New York or, I dare say, Seattle.

And of course, we have to raise children who can get into Ivy League schools. Guess I'd better keep shoveling funds to the GET accounts ...

Good point cheryl.

That's also too, a big part of why I'm working at a college that give tuition cuts to offspring, saving for college in one account, AND plan to sign up for GET this year.
